Agreement has been reached between the Society and Elsevier, the publishers of the
Journal of African Earth Sciences (JAES), whereby JAES becomes the official journal of the Society.
All GSAf members are urged to take advantage of this valuable and prestigeous association when seeking to publish their
work.
Reduced subscription rate for GSAf members
Individual Members of the Geological Society of Africa are eligible to receive a
year's issues of the Journal of African Earth Sciences for only US$92 in 2009. This represents a valuable saving on the normal price charged to non-members of the Society (see
www.elsevier.com/locate/jafrearsci
for details).
Paid-up Members who wish to take advantage of this discount should apply in the first instance through their national or regional
GSAf Councillor, or through the Assistant Secretary General/Membership Secretary, or direct to the Honorary Treasurer. (The addresses of all Council members are given
on the GSAf
Council page). Once verified, the applications will be forwarded through the Honorary Treasurer to Elsevier, the publisher of the journal. Elsevier will then invoice the Member
directly.
Remember, this offer applies only to those who are fully paid up Individual members of the Society! The reduced price is not available to Institutional
members.
Non-members of the Society who are interested in benefiting from the JAES offer are welcome to apply to
join the Society in order to
qualify!
